Happy Santa Lucia Day!

God Jul! Today is the celebration of St. Lucy day in Sweden. This is the first year I did something to celebrate it with my family and have created a new holiday tradition for us. My grandmother came to the U.S. in 1921 when she was just under 2 years old, so we are celebrating in her honor. I ended up making a traditional braided bread loaf that mirrors a crown young girls wear on this day. Mine was made with orange flavors and an orange glaze. It was great with my cup of coffee this morning.
